Diversity & Inclusion – training for employers
Many progressive employers look to support their employees and strengthen their culture through equality, diversity and inclusion learning opportunities. It is a fast-moving landscape and building awareness the issues facing minority groups are constantly evolving. This has a significant impact on employers who want to attract and retain staff within a welcoming and inclusive environment.
Respect for diversity doesn't just make a happier workplace, it improves productivity and is good for the business.

What we offer
At Diversity Role Models we recognise that people want to be more confident when it comes to supporting colleagues from protected characteristic groups such as LGBT+, B.A.M.E., differently abled. Sometimes that confidence is boosted by a better understanding of terminology, cultural sensitivities or the obstacles that under-represented groups might experience at work.
We offer the following three programmes for employers which can be delivered in the workplace or remotely:
Our training is delivered in a safe and inclusive style to engage all participants in this important part of working life. The outcome of the training includes:
- Positive communication: a greater understanding of acceptable communication in relation to under-represented groups.
- Demonstrating empathy: an insight into the obstacles colleagues may face at work and how employers and their co-workers can help overcome them.
- Being an upstander: exploring types of bullying and harassment that minority groups face in the workplace and how others can identity and challenge them.
Bespoke sessions can be delivered on request – please contact matt.garvey@diversityrolemodels.org to discuss.
