It’s four years today since DRM registered with the Charity Commission. And what a long way we’ve come. We’ve delivered over 1,050 workshops, seen nearly 25,000 young people and now have 270 trained role models.
So how are we celebrating? With more of the same. Not only is it our birthday, but this is one of the biggest weeks that DRM has ever seen. We’re delivering an amazing 36 workshops in Manchester, Newcastle, Coventry and London. And on Thursday we'll have our biggest single day ever with 8 facilitators delivering workshops in different parts of the country.
It’s thanks to each and every one of you that this has been possible. Whether you support us by donating, visit schools as a role model to share your story or shout about us on social media, you’ve all played your part in getting us this far.
We’ll be ending the week by joining in the celebrations at Pride in London. You’ll be able to catch us in the parade (do let us know if you’d like to join our group – it’s not too late!). Alternatively we’ll have a stall in the Family Area in Golden Square, which is being hosted by our good friends DRM Patron Charlie Condou and Out With The Family.
We hope to see as many of you there as possible. In the meantime raise a glass to celebrate four amazing years and to the success of year five!
