Fundraising for Diversity Role Models will help enable us to continue to deliver our work in schools without restrictions. As a school, workplace, network, group of friends or an individual there are a number of ways that you can choose to fundraise, from the traditional to the more adventurous.
- Organise a bake sale
- Have a dress down day
- Host an online fundraiser using your social media page
- Raise funds as you shop (see below)
- Use volunteer hours as a trade for a donation from your employer
- Run a ½ marathon
- Abseil
- Skydive
The list is endless!
Laura's story
"I took part in an advertising campaign for the protective clothing that firefighters wear. The company offered to donate money on my behalf to a charity of my choice so I chose DRM. I see my role as a firefighter and my volunteering for DRM as similar in terms of breaking down stereotypes and challenging perceptions, both of which I'm proud to do."
"I've seen firsthand the impact DRM has on the young people and it's vitally important that people keep coming up with ways to do this...it doesn't all have to be about the physical challenges."
